RESIDENCE IN 2,702 Caer Glaem and his watchtower on the Cathraon Plains (and a key to a house in Maupertius, but few people know about that.)
SUMMARY At the beginning of the timeskip, Charles helped the Seelie forces at the Battle of An Càrn Dubh by recreating the image of the fallen dragon Sura and using his telepathy to spread dissent among the Unseelie ranks and dissuade people from fighting. The suffering of the people around him and the extent to which he pushed himself (while using his shard) took a large toll on him, especially when he called out to Erik Lehnsherr for help after being shot.
On the one hand, it encouraged the two mutants to mend a rift they'd only skirted over, which is tied to Charles deeper issues (see: information). On the other, he started to realize that winning in the Drabwurld wasn't going to be quite like what it was back home.
In the following year, Charles focused on socialising and gaining a reasonable amount of influence and power within the Seelie Court. He took on a quest from Lancelot and chased off Unseelie soldiers from the borders of Glaschu. Along with better exploring his telepathy, he was booned astral projection, and in the latter half of the year began to explore the magical potential his shard lent him (which can account for the months that aren't listed below.)
By the end of the timeskip, he'll have finished construction of his watchtower on the Cathraon Plains and will be implementing his skillset to become the spymaster for Marchioness Hermione Granger.

The Great Greenwood is large, after all, and it's a coincidence that he has spotted him at all while out walking Lady. He feels he ought to thank the man, for his efforts in both the battle and in scouting. For his patience and willingness to support his plan. Yet all the same Charles looks... well, like he's rather enjoying time alone.
In his hesitation, the decision is unfortunately made for him.
Lady comes tearing out of the forest behind him and runs up to Charles -- does a quick loop around him as if to herd him before stopping in front of him, tail wagging. Her eyes are bright and excited (she spent so much time inside during the blizzard! Outside is so much better!) and her small black and grey body seems to vibrate with energy. ]
Ah... Lady!
[ Lancelot's voice is just loud enough to carry, still muted to try and not draw attention. They may not be too deep in the woods, but there's no need to scare off all the more gentle wildlife and draw the curiosity of anything big enough to hurt them. He winces a little, jogs the rest of the way over as Lady sits patiently to see what will come of the interaction. ]
Forgive me, I thought perhaps to leave you in peace but... it seems Lady wished to say hello regardless.

Suddenly, there is an exciteable dog, and it's kind of lovely because it's such a simple, instinctual thing without all the fussy complications that come from human minds. Charles smiles and drops down to pet her, before looking around to see Lancelot approach.]
I don't mind in the slightest. How are the both of you tod - oh well I can see you're very happy. [To Lady, naturally.]

Forgive me, I hope we are not disturbing you. I suspect we both had the same idea, to find a little peace out here.
[ Somewhere quieter, away from all the people. Away from the bustle of Caer Glaem and the endless amount of duties. ]

He rakes his fingers through Lady's fur, giving her as many pets as she likes. There's something nice about it - but then it's been proven that having animals around can be cathartic. On hearing the latter part of what Lancelot says, his lips quirk in a smile.] It seems like you're the mindreader today. [re: your guess is correct, Lance.] But I welcome the company of one human mind versus an entire court worth of hysterics.
[He looks at him rather knowingly.] And I suspect you have a different sort of burden altogether.

She is, of course, delighted by this. People!! Yes, she loves people, and especially likes when they pay attention to her!! She is a good dog, she deserves attention! ]
It has been busy, if that is what you mean. Since the battle there are a great many things to be fixed, secured, rebuilt. That, and of course, this month as you say has been a little more... strained than usual.

That and he's just going to let the silence linger, petting Lady and waiting for Lancelot to fill it with something.]
