Otherwise I generally play off things people make available in narrative and leave the rest up to convenient explanation about why he didn't pay attention to any fine print.

I WANT TO SAY fair game for both of my characters, junpei and mako (jaywalks), but... uh. let's make things interesting as well, too?

junpei's persona is like, a literal incarnation of his ego or whatever so... that might be inhibitory if you like, but other than that, he is a very open, kind of stupid but honest book.

mako also is an open book! kind of. since august he's had a telepathic baby dragon he's been mommying, and he's starting to become familiar with mind-to-mind connections. while this is DEFINITELY nowhere near strong or trained enough to stop charles, charles might be able to pick up on some of the private telepathic conversations mako has with the beebin, or mako might be able to realize what he's doing if you want!

Shijima minds more than I do! She'd be irritated and might attempt to attack if she found out about it, but she has no defenses against mental intrusion.

Her mind is a fairly strange place given she still thinks a lot like a cat, though.

Charles is free to poke around Zhaneel's mind to his liking. It's full of emotional and physical abuse and low self-worth! GOODTIMES!! 8D

While she's immune to magic be used against her as an attack, gryphons from her world (mostly) can do mind speech, so she'll be pretty receptive to that.

He's welcome to look in Bucky's head but it is a mess right now, full of amnesia and brainwashing and conditioning that he's working really hard to get past but... it's basically a swamp right now so FAIR WARNING. If you'd like to play with it, we can totally chat!

charles is welcome to poke around in korra's head, however, i must warn that she's carrying some pretty heavy scars from her previous season finales: in the first one, amon bloodbent her against her will and destroyed her bending ability (tore apart her chi/blocked her chakras); in season two, she literally had a spirit ripped out of her, torn from her soul, and destroyed. so chances are that even a light prodding inside her head without her knowing will bring these to light.

she's also been kidnapped and paralyzed with shirshu venom, betrayed and backstabbed, so korra's had a super happy life before showing up here. super, super happy.

she'll try her best to keep these under wraps but she's never really had a spiritual center per se so it's difficult for her to control her emotions.
